RG@codinghorror You just have to look at the evolution of truly wireless earbuds. Once Apple set the standards for them with AirPods it didn’t take long for Chinese OEMs to flood the market with viable $30 clones. There are OEMs who are trying to replicate and lower cost to headset components as we speak. It’s not going to take a decade.

@codinghorror Zune was never much cheaper than the equivalent iPod. It failed to get traction. What made MP3 players widespread were the cheap clones that flooded the market. Was a single one of them responsible for this? No. As a collective yes.
