@GottaLaff They are still there because they are comfortable with their 10,000 followers and don’t want to rebuild. Also, they just want to be heard, they don’t want to listen, and really don’t want to interact with “commoners.”

Twitter was a place where people held corporations accountable for their bad behavior, journalists & news orgs were part of this. Corps hate this but can’t admit it, corps pay news orgs bills. Elon makes Twitter hostile to social advocacy & cows sympathetic journalists. Of course major news orgs are still there 🤷‍♂️

@72mz @GottaLaff @Alienated53 it may seem counter intuitive with advertisers fleeing Twitter, but I will assure you those same businesses are cheering the downfall of Twitter and the pressure, bad press & scrutiny it brought to their biz practices

Worse, much worse is embedding twitter on every news site the billionaires own. If our press was not owned by billionaires "letting" Elon turn twiiter into a weapon, a weapon he just used to help Erdogon the dictator manipulate his election on Turkey, twitter would fold.

The weapon Elon is aiming at American elections.

And billionaires embed twitter like its a source of news.

@GottaLaff They're still on twitter for the same reason nearly every article they write is just printing comments by politicians or police without fact checking, pushing back or giving context. It's easier to post tweets than do actual work.
