Back to #AutumnCurves. I’m just making it up as I go along. Does it spark joy in me? 100%. Do I know where it will end up? No clue #wip#sewing#quilting
Same as above but now there is a row of alternating ivory bill woodpeckers, bears in birches, red strips, and a multi colored chevron strip in the middle. #wip#sewing#quilting
Nearing the finish! Just gotta attach the beavers/raccoons and then put the stripey border on. I think I'm going to make cornerstones with arcs in the corners. Have to finish digesting lunch first.
@artcollisions it’s the color palette in this one that sends me. I just love how it’s moody and warm and exciting and cheeky all at once. It’s another really great quilt — congrats!
@artcollisions What a cool quilt with lots of interesting patterns and details! Love the woodpecker and the chimpmunk. I noticed that the skull quilt square has a bird and some nesting material in it: symbolic of connection to nature or a return to nature...
@artcollisions how? How do you do it? You mixed skulls, chipmunks, raccoons, stripes AND curves and made it look like they are all meant to be a single fabric line! Love it so much
@artcollisions love how the colour and texture of the darker fabric (middle square etc) contrast and frame everything (almost a vignette feeling, feels gentle on the eyes)
