This is one of my favorite Live Oak trees found along the Eliot Coues Nature Trail in Fort Macon State Park, Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. The tree has an exceptionally long, low branch that stretches out towards the pathway.

Living & growing up at a summer camp…
My brother & I had a tree like that…we called “the Boat Tree”!

It was our pirate ship, the “Beaver” or “Mutiny on the Bounty”.
The 1st time I saw the “Star Trek Holodeck” in “New Gen”…
It made me think…
The Boat Tree was our #holodeck.
