Oh my goodness. So much drama today. So embarrassing. Multiple cramping episodes and one great fall... just walking* up a steep incline.

Scraped one elbow.

I wasn't even pushing my heavy #bike... or any bike. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

One of the gents had offered to push my bike up the hill. I was going to get his light bike and push it. Didn't even get to his bike. I just fell. With a cramping right calf. That was not fun. ๐Ÿ˜

I opted to take a tricycle* up the steep hill. It was 50 pesos well-spent. ๐Ÿ‘

@evelyn Just saw this post. I had a lot of cramps in cycling context, until I discovered I was missing salt.

I sweat a lot, so I lose a lot of salt during my activities. Drinking only water was not enough to hydrate. I began adding good isotonic drinks and salty snacks to the hardest/longest rides. Worked really well.

6 Common Hydration Mistakes

When it comes to the best ways to keep hydrated, there is an overflow of misconceptions. Here are 6 common mistakes for hydration that you may be making.

@katan
Yeah. I should just eat chips as a quick snack.

I usually go for some kind of ham and bread, or cheese and bread, or slice of loaf ๐Ÿž. And soda to get some sugar. I just thought it was more useful to eat that way on long rides. Totally neglected the salt. ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
