Previously when something major happend you could look at twitter for local news sources to cross check al the local and international information to get an accurate picture of what happend, without the bias of one countries culture and media.
If you do that now, you will find 14 verified conspiracy theorists, 7 'patriots' waving confederate flags and further down one person supporting that symbol from germany
Below that is the 1 local journalist who hasn't left yet.

There was just to many accounts for me to block. Here I recently blocked an entire instance because they seemed to have the same behavior (mostly about politics) I used to see on Twitter. It looks easier to be in peace here haha
