I’m not a design professional so I don’t really need / want some of the tagging and rich search features that Eagle offers.
I did want a way to view folders of images as mosaics, though, so I maintain an iOS/Mac app that does that. It even sits on your existing folders so there’s no importing to a proprietary system.
It’s definitely HobbyWare, but I enjoy using it and it’s widgets. If you’ll give me honest feedback about it I’ll throw you a code :D
