I have not seen this before and I feel that, whilst I agree with points 1 and 2, it's unclear from point 3 if I should be using drugs on myself or the cat (edit: or both). This is how disasters happen and may also explain the somewhat laid back attitude of the vet when I took my friends pug in for a health check. Pug was fine btw.

All i can think of is "the glove" for handling feral cats because even a kitten has the power to bite through a fingernail. More often than not pet cats are holding back even when they mangle you.

copsewood@coral It's still necessary to get flea treatment onto my beloved Caspar, and get him into a cat box so he can visit the vet on occasion. Stealth, speed, and firm, fearless, confident and kind handling avoids any harm to either of us.
Drugs are what the vet may give the cat, and optionally a glass of home made wine for me after and not before the job is done.
