Florida freedom is:

The ability of the state to kidnap trans children
The ability to search children’s genitals
The ability to ban books
The ability to run over protesters
The ability to lose billions in business
The ability to have a private militia publicly funded
The ability to imprison doctors who give medical care
And declaring war on the LGBTQ community

The NAACP is right. More organizations need to warn about the dangers of traveling to or doing business with Florida.

@edgeoforever @flexghost I had to veto a couple of Catholic schools here in the PNW. It wasn’t just the crucifixes in every room, it was the hundred Administrators making $400K a year at a not-for-profit college. I wasn’t about to pay for someone’s yacht who wasn’t even my daughter’s teacher.

@flexghost sadly my father will still travel to Florida... as he does quite a bit... i am really trying to get him to quit going but he doesn't want to listen to what is going on since it doesn't affect him at all... he is White, Cishet, Christian, and Male... i seriously wish he were more open to what i had to say

it's so sad to see how even the queer community in the US blanks out intersex people and leaves the I out of the LGBTIQA+
The existence of intersex people as a biological fact is probably the most ignored human fact in the USA.
It's so weird to see this lack of solidarity within the "left" and queer community. Especially with knowing how many babies(!) got unnecessary surgeries just because the parents and doctors never heard of the normality of intersexual existence...
You even exclude the "+".
Why are you so explicit excluding?
And why is in the USA even the left leaning majority so ignorant?

@flexghost Equality Florida issued a travel warning to the LGBTQ+ community and especially transgender individuals back around the beginning of April. Advised them not to travel or relocate to the state. Cannot wrap my head around the fact that this is happening in this country.

@scenario @flexghost @enoch We’ve made the same commitment. It’s a shame, because we went there in the past, and the kids had a really good time. I’ll take my money to a place that’s less hostile and less fascist.

So… probably outside of the U.S.
