Damariscotta Mills Fish Ladder was hopping, bird wise today. It's during the Alewives run. Notice the gull in the left hand side of the picture. 36 herring gulls in this pic (a fraction of the number). 2 greater black backed gulls, and 19 Cormorants further down. Double digits eagles had left just before we arrived. Talk of the folks was a fight between a bald eagle and an Osprey.
