Wow.
Very sad that there are still males in the world that think like you.

@MaryPot @peachfront @QasimRashid I wonder how you will feel if your actions today will be judged in a decade by the laws that the current bunch of theocracy-GOP coalition will be enacting (actually in some states, on some topics, they already started).

I notice that You on purpose ignored the main point. You have to be very careful when you try to apply the legal/moral concepts from today to a society 2 centuries ago.

@yacc143 @peachfront @QasimRashid

If you think rape was ever acceptable to the women who were raped, you are SO part of the problem!

Enjoy your testosterone.
I wish I could tattoo your forehead with "Women beware"! You are dangerous.

@MaryPot @peachfront @QasimRashid Please note if I wanted to navel gaze, I've been lucky enough to be from a place that allows me to look down on most of the USA, I don't need to compare today with 2 centuries ago.

Corporal punishment (for kids) was abolished here 4 decades ago. As was the patriarchal family model, BTW, now that you mention it. Human rights were added as part of our constitution decades before I was born.

More fair comparison, same time period. Still not without problems.

@yacc143 @MaryPot @peachfront @QasimRashid Bud, to the victims, rape and slavery were always wrong, they didn't need to see into the future to decide they were wrong.
@yacc143 @MaryPot @peachfront @QasimRashid And FYI, there have ALWAYS been people fighting against slavery as an institution, no matter what the "standards of the day" were. Your comments are erasing the blood, sweat, and tears that abolitionists and anti-colonialist agitators have given to the fight for their own freedom. We didn't all suddenly "decide" slavery was wrong - it was always wrong, and there were always people fighting against it. Don't erase their work.
