Just 21 days after grafting, this 'Oro Negro' avocado is already pushing growth. Reportedly this variety has excellent flavor, & can handle temps to mid 20s F. That's iffy in my North Florida location, so I'm grafting onto a seedling of a pure Mexican subspecies avocado for extra cold hardiness. I'll eventually plant it in the ground in a sheltered spot, cover during extreme cold events, & keep fingers crossed, hoping for fruit.
