Here’s the thing.

I’m Muslim. I don’t feel attacked when people condemn the Taliban because Taliban do not represent Muslims and I proudly take the lead in condemning Taliban terrorism.

If you’re MAGA white and feel personally attacked when Biden condemns white supremacy terror—you are absolutely telling on yourself.

true...that's because assholes who lie steal and cheat have -routinely- ascended to positions of power in cultures that are rooted in violent ransacking and colonialism. (most large economies in the world are rooted in these histories).

Folks who perpetrated colonialism -all- held assumptions of social hierarchy. And as a result, they ALL lied, stole, and cheated... in order to 1) create these false hierarchies, 2) give their actions cover, and to 3) maintain these false hierarchies.

This would be common knowledge in a healthy world. Instead we've been as blind to this truth as any kids who grew up in violent households and had to learn as an adult how fucked up their childhood was.

He stressed that she avoid American mosques, telling her Muslims in the USA are being persecuted and she could be labeled a terrorist. @zenten @QasimRashid totally agree. I have a moral code but not a religious one. Most religions have the same code because the basics of religions make sense for a society like don’t kill and even avoiding some foods where the religion starts in a hot country.

Sure. But consider that when the Donald condemns muslim terrorists, what he means and what his fans hear is he condemns those terrorists, the muslims.
And they absolutely fear that you think in the same way.

Biden condemns white supremacy terror, and they hear "white people are the terrorists, we'll treat them how we've treated muslims".

Then again, a lot of them are just not informed enough to know christian nationalism isn't just a combination of loving the country and Jesus.

@cimeryd nonsensical comparison. Trump spews dangerous propaganda. “Islam hates us.” “Ban all Muslims.” This isn’t nuanced or specific. It’s literally a broad a brush as possible. Condemning white supremacist terror specifically is targeting only those who engage in that terror with that racial superiority complex. No comparison between that and the nonsense Trump spews.

@QasimRashid it's also really easy to condemn the Taliban though, because the Taliban murders thousands of Muslims. One thing the American white supremacist movement hasn't gotten around to doing quite as vehemently is terrorizing other white people for not being the right kind of white person.

White supremacy and the Taliban aren't really comparable, because the Taliban is a political faction whereas white supremacy is a system that actively recruits its own victims to uphold it.

I met a guy from Peru, last month, in Orlando.
He’s been coming to the US since 1998.
He’s says after Trump was elected, he no longer feels comfortable, in the US.
He never coming back.
His business would rather deal with countries, where their employees don’t have to be worried about being a foreigner.

@QasimRashid I've repeated the idiom "clean up your own back yard" my whole life. I'm a white guy that hates white supremacists, a gun owner that believes in gun control, a man who loathes pathetic abusers and manipulators of women. I used to call myself a christian, and railed against most of the behavior I witness justified by faith.
If you aren't willing to stand against the dark parts of your own tribe, you are the dark parts of your tribe.
