6/ quick note as a friend forwarded me this info, earlier today :
"For three days of counteroffensive actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Bakhmut direction, 17.3 km² were liberated", — the speaker of the Eastern Forces Group, Cherevatyi reports.
DO NOT CARE !!
because it actually means NOTHING.
sometimes 50km2 < 10km2
only matters if you take Heights in important areas or strategical roads, or key little town etc.
7/ Also & for instance if UKR would use 10k men to "re-seize" 50km2 of the city of #Bakhmut in one go it would totally stupid and would represent almost nothing!
but gaining back 10km2 on all the heights around the city is much much more important. etc etc.
this km2 "meme" that i have observed being developed by schmuck who just want to "show off" on social networks gets on my nerves sometimes.
here it's a bit diff because UKR command needs to communicate to his own population so they r
8/ given them some kind of "infos, like that... because they don't/can't communicate on other details
but to be honest and one more time, unless let's say UKR take back territory up to the red stripe on the map i've just made. this would be almost meaningless.
because then from a single really counter attack, the Ru troops within the city would fear to be trapped...
so keep cool, right now is "fun" but not at all decisive.
10/ Quick last update for today
as said, be careful, russians are moving back and have bring huge amount of troops on the frontline to try to take back their previous positions. as of today and geoloc positions, we can assess that they are occupying the position below.
so meaning that Ukr commanders definitively do not want to escalate right now with stronger forces.
Also, Ru are still moving in, in what remains of #Bakhmut
there are not tons of evidences but it seems
11/ that Ru/wagner have breached in the last defense of the last quarter of the last area of the city.
(purple square -ish)
now the crazy thing is i start to believe that Ukrainians can hold another week ;-)
imo as said couple times, i really think they are trying to "bridge" the end to the #Bakhmut battle (or even in the near future in the west outskirts) with the beginning of the new offensive..
ok, that's it for today recap!
see you tomorrow folks!
@enyd_mibu salopards en Fra.
