MY FATHER HAS #DEMENTIA and #DonaldTrump clearly does too.
All of the behaviors I see in my father... the making up of stories to fill the gaps in his memory, the accusations against others b/c it's impossible to believe you're wrong... I see in Donald Trump.
When Trump was asked if he had ever met #EJeanCaroll, he said No b/c it was unfathomable to him that forgot.
Then when shown a picture of them together, he tried to CON-vince the lawyer it was Marla b/c "I'm not wrong, YOU ARE!"
(con't…) On #CNN, Trump insisted he had "finished The Wall™" b/c he doesn't remember what happened, and it's unfathomable to him that he didn't. So he simply stated what he believes MUST be the truth b/c the alternative (that he failed) is impossible for him to accept. #Dementia
Ditto for refusing to believe he raped #EJeanCaroll. He has no memory of the event, and can't believe he did it, so he states AS FACT what he believes MUST be true b/c the alternative is impossible for him to accept.
(con't…) My father has good days & bad days. Thurs was a bad day, as I spent 20 min trying to get him to remember my mother (his first wife. He outlived 3 and is now in a Nursing Home in the "Memory Care" Unit.)
He's convinced that he had divorced his 3rd wife before she passed away b/c he is trying to reconcile why he's still in the Nursing Home and can't go "home".
People with #dementia like my father & #Trump are struggling to fill in the gaps in their memory and do so by making up stories.

One February, my dad (w/Dementia but still living at home with his wife w/Alzheimers) hired a carpet cleaner to clean the house.
SEVEN MONTHS LATER, she discovered "someone" had set the DVR to record AN INFOMERCIAL at 3am. 🤔
They ABSOLUTELY REFUSED TO BELIEVE one of them had done it and were CERTAIN the Carpet Cleaning Man had done it when he was there. This was perfectly reasonable to them and I could not convince them otherwise.
(con't)… During Trump's deposition (shown to the #EJeanCaroll jury) when he tried to claim the woman in the photo talking to him (AND Ivanna) was "my wife Marla", you MUST believe one of two things:
1) He recognized E.Jean (he ID'd her hubby) and realizing he was caught in a lie, tried to convince the lawyer that SHE was the one who was wrong, or…
2) He DID believe the woman was Marla and it made perfect sense to him he'd be standing there with BOTH his wife and ex-wife. Trump has #Dementia.
