Very confused how conservatives in #alberta can worry over healthcare and pensions, and still justify voting for the #ucp. Time and experience has shown the governing party is FAR from economically responsible, and is beholden not to voters but to industries.

The #NDP is not perfect, and there are decisions they made during their time in govt with which I didn't agree. But there are so many red flags with the #UCP, I can only assume their supporters are willfully blind. #albertaelection2023

Oh, somebody at cycling group commented about how Notley's NDP would give our grandkids a mountain of debt and the UCP had a "balanced budget" (with record surpluses) and that's what they liked to see. Never mind all of the corporate giveaways and cuts to essential services.

@EllenInEdmonton It's a popular speaking point for UCP supporters but as we both know, far from the truth. UCP are riding the coat tails of the Russian war and the corresponding price of oil, while the NDP faced a price collapse during their tenure. As for fiscal prudence, I like to share this with conservatives:

@UrbanEdm @EllenInEdmonton Ok, it was a graph produced by Andrew Friesen, who is a data analyst in Alberta. He used the GOA's budget docs (https://t.co/YokJhegjJC) and included both capital and operational expenditures. He also provided me this graph which shows actual numbers.
