@w7voa she needs to stop calling him "Mr President"
@darthstar @w7voa Yeah is that a US tradition, to address a former president like that, or is it a total screwup? Maybe it’s to humour him and keep him engaged and giving up the goods (bile). Either way that man is not president.
@mori @darthstar @w7voa the Americans used to call all ex-presidents "Mr. President", I noticed. But the tradition stopped with TFG, since many journalists couldn't stomach calling him that, and made up various alternatives: ex-, former, twice-impeached, once indicted former ...
@deborahh @darthstar @w7voa Ok, so at the very least, and I don’t agree with it at all, but it’s partly explained by tradition. Yet when The Former Guy still claims to be President, it has a whole other dimension and should not be done. He’ll probably point to this clips as proof he is still prez. 🤮
@mori @deborahh @darthstar @w7voa
It's a good thing I will never be called upon to address him. Not only would I not say "President;" I would not say "Mr."
@dbc3 @mori @darthstar @w7voa yes, it's courtesy title. Courtesy is always optional :-)
