A coworker of mine has three owlets in a nest in a tree near her house and now the entire company is obsessed with them!

We now have a Slack channel dedicated to them and get updates every morning 😂

UPDATE: I’ll be posting the daily owl update from our company Slack channel on here with #DailyOwlUpdate.

#Owls #Cute #Outside #Trees #AltText

Does everyone want me to just post the daily owl updates here?

We can all cheer on these little guys as they grow! 😄

Got some exciting news!

I talked with the coworker and wanted to make sure she’s ok with me sharing the daily updates.

She said she’s so happy everyone is as interested in them as she is and is fine with me sharing them here.

So I’ll be copying what she posts in our Slack channel over to here. Expect to see more #DailyOwlUpdates! 😄

@ty_406 Instead of tweets or toots, these will be hoots about owlettes?
@ty_406
I give a hoot about this
@ty_406 This is kind of sweet.

@ty_406

..that tree looks like it has a nose above the opening where the owls are, making it look like a mouth

Its adorable! But also in my twisted mind I visualized the tree with googly eyes above the "nose" and now it's also wildly funny and a tad bit scary in my head as well... 😆

@multiverseofbadness @ty_406

That makes the owlets teeth!

@ty_406 @deirdrebeth @multiverseofbadness Came here to post they’re in an Ent’s mouth!!!! 😆
@ty_406 As well they should 🦉
@ty_406 brb applying to work at your company but only during nesting season
@ty_406

@ahermitforhire
@ty_406 @briankrebs Hopefully they will tweet as nature intended 😀

@ty_406
I can't unsee the nose, mouth, and owl-teeth. I'm hooked by a simple image!

I don't care if there's two knots cropped out of the picture or not; they exist in my head.
@briankrebs

@ty_406 it looks like the tree has weird teeth

@ty_406 Looks like Sarah and Percy and Bill.

@ty_406 This is the way it should be. Great use of Slack! 👌
@ty_406 I can't get past the face growing in the bark.
@ty_406 pls keep posting them!
@ty_406 tree looks kinda angry about it 😆
@awpeet @ty_406
It had intended to close it's mouth this year...
@ty_406 Oooh they're up to something for sure. I love it.

@ty_406 My company in Alameda is likewise obsessed with a mating pair of bald eagles that appeared here for the first time in over 50+ years, and while they don't have a Slack channel (yet) we've been tracking them both directly and not now for 4 months. I take it as a sign I work for the right people.

(Recent storms in N. CA wrecked their first nest & eggs, but they've already re-built and are trying again 🦅 )

@ty_406 I am so, so jealous right now. My coworkers do not have any owls.
@ty_406 Awww, precious little sweeties! 😍 ❤️
@ty_406 this looks like baby owls in the womb of a sexy tree person with some junk in the trunk
@ty_406 What if dinosaurs turned into kittens?

@ty_406

How i imagine the rest of the tree

@ty_406 this made me think of one of my kids favourite books! Do they have names yet?

@ty_406 This is enchanting. Do they have names? I read this toot to a friend and now they want to know.
@ty_406 those owls kinda look like teeth, and the tree looks like a person kinda
@ty_406 Damn, I wish I could join this channel.
@ty_406 They’re sooo cute when they’re babies. When we were kids, Pop came across a nest where the mother had been killed. He brought the babies home, made a ground nest for them under a sage bush & surrounded it with a large metal netted enclosure so we could walk in and feed them, but they could still interacted with nature & be safe from predators. It was so fun to watch them grow. #Nature #Owl

@ty_406

Why do I see a person with a pointy goatee and a thyroid problem chewing with their mouth open?

@ty_406 following my first hashtag
@ty_406 where are you guys?my kids want to know
@RedCanoe Haha I’m not sure, these are at my coworkers house but a lot of us are remote but it’s somewhere in the US!
