Pat AllanToday is my first day in a new job 🎉 - as a Staff Engineer at https://www.covidence.org. It's also a big step back into employment after about 15 years of primarily being a contractor. So I'm both excited and daunted, alongside a gamut of other emotions.
Also: to be celebrating a new role when I know so many of my peers are impacted by industry-wide redundancies - it feels pretty jarring. To those who've lost jobs lately: I hope you're doing okay, I hope great opportunities are in your near future, and if you need to chat, feel free to drop me a message. ❤️
