Notchmeisterers: It's been awhile but there is a new version of Notchmeister in TestFlight with:

• New Expando effect
• Added support for M2 in Notchmeister Control Panel (NCP)
• Fixed Notchmeister Control Panel (NCP) peeking below notch
• Fixed an issue with stray windows after a screen configuration change
• Twitter eradication :middle_finger:

Possibly related: this new MacBook Air is freakin' awesome.

@chockenberry @gedeonm From the bottom of my heart, can you add fuzzy dice to it? 🥺
@BasicAppleGuy @gedeonm Paging @jamesthomson - is it possible to put a SpriteKit scene in a CALayer?
@chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @gedeonm I don't _think_ so, but you could put an SKView or SCNView in a transparent window, and it would work.
@jamesthomson @BasicAppleGuy @gedeonm Know anywhere I could get some dice models? 😄
@chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @gedeonm I do indeed. I mean, genuinely would be happy to share, just tell me what you need :)
@jamesthomson @chockenberry @gedeonm I’m bursting at the possibility of a James Thomson Dice + Notchmeister collab
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm Do you want an airplane, too?
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm What are the chances that these die will cause some form of skin cancer?
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm Feels like we're getting close…
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm Fusion Dice are going to need a way to recharge…
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm Colors still need work (and I’m not going to tweak them until they're hanging underneath the notch). But the physics and animations are how I envisioned them.
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm Camera and lighting positions need adjustment, but it’s basically working now.
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm Quick question James: do your dice have a built-in control panel?
@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm @louie Lighting is hard, but makes a huge difference. Trying to get a feeling like a poorly lit ship.
@chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @louie chewy needs to roar every time you spin them
@chockenberry @gedeonm @BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @louie Are you building nerd truck nuts?
@joshdb @chockenberry @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie they’re called notch nuts… and no.
@BasicAppleGuy @joshdb @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie These notch nuts suggestions come from people who won't be looking at them for hours upon hours while fine tuning the rendering and animation. Don't think I could handle it, honestly,.
@chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @joshdb @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie How about a pine tree air freshener?

@freehours9 @chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @joshdb @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie Will they react to the accelerometer? Is there an API for that on the Mac? I presume there is one of course, such as to detect sudden falls, etc. Maybe less important in the SSD era.
@xsan64 @chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @joshdb @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie Would have worked even better to blow and move around based on the fan speed. Except now we never hear the fan or it hardly runs.
@freehours9 @chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @joshdb @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie Is there some sort of proximity sensor or ambient light sensor that macOS uses to determine if you’re actually sitting in front of the computer or not? Could it detect a hand motion without privacy implications?

@xsan64 @chockenberry @BasicAppleGuy @joshdb @gedeonm @jamesthomson @louie Since we are slowly going off the deep end with this car analogy stuff… how about combining the Hand Mirror app concept and the dice. An actual car rear view mirror pops down from the notch (with the dice hanging from it) so you can check yourself in the mirror.
