Dianne Feinstein was born in 1933

She is older than
• Hawaiian Punch
• The first can of beer
• Donald Duck
• The first blood bank
• The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile
• Famous Amos cookies and the 5th Ave candy bar
• Commercial hydroponics
•The Internet

Her known net worth is over $95 million

Take a guess how she made it

And now she won’t give a timeline on when she’ll come back to do her job and appoint judges – after 3 months of absence

Whatever legacy she had? Is gone.

Resign.

@flexghost She, like RBG, believes she can out race death. Maybe she’ll learn from RGB’s mistake.
@PensiveTM @flexghost Dems should be lining up in front of her door, like the scene from Airplane.
@Invincible_Fall @PensiveTM should be…but they’re complicit to the old guard yet again
@flexghost @PensiveTM sadly, even with democracy on the line.
@PensiveTM this isn’t a calculation about the next election like RBG. This is pointless greed.

@flexghost

She was 30 year old when the electronic calculator was invented.

She's even older than oscilloscopes.

She's older than a patent "which describes the principle of working with binary numbers abacus". lol

Older than TV broadcasting in the US.

Older than 45 RPM records.

This is kind of fun...

@flexghost

Fun, well, until I realized...

She's older than Emmett Till...

July 25, 1941 – August 28, 1955

@flexghost someone’s getting paid…..off
@flexghost but whatever will she do in the remaining years of her life? Pobresita 😥

🖕
@flexghost I’d like to know how much her staff is making by keeping her in the Senate
@SNerd her staff her handlers and her donors
@flexghost I'm in with the new, and out with the old.... Feinstein Is just to old for this position... Step down and give someone else a chance, for goodness sake...
@customer228 or just use a glad bag. Either way she’s gotta go
@flexghost 💯 Everyone in CA should blow up her office with demands for her resignation. Do to Padilla’s office too while you’re at it!
@scentedmeat lol. I’m sure her handlers will have to problem ignoring her constituents further
@flexghost I am one of her constituents, and admired and voted for her for decades, but she needs to resign NOW. Or her caregivers should ask her DPoA to resign on her behalf. 🙄

@flexghost

The real culprit here is completely ridiculous Senate rules that let the GOP block her being replaced on the Judiciary committee.

(Yes she should resign, too, but this wouldn't be such a huge issue otherwise)

@flexghost We really need an age limit on politicians
@jaysonmassey and a competency test. And a non-Boebert clause
@flexghost Also great friends with literal traitor Linsdsey Graham. I don’t trust her as far as I can throw her.
@MisterStars72 the hug heard round the world
@flexghost
Dianne Feinstein's age is absolutely not relevant to her effective representation of her constituents. Her high degree of wealth, the questionable circumstances under which it was obtained, and her obvious, profound, and worsening mental incapacity absolutely are relevant. Let's keep it one hundred out there.

@DougWar40k @flexghost Old guy here.

ABSOLUTELY age is totally relevant.

It is very bad that America is ruled by extremely rich, extremely old people who are systematically destroying the future, a future they will never see, for all the young.

@TomSwirly @flexghost
I'd say that systematically destroying the future is more a consequence of being evil than of being old.

Given all of human history, I'm pretty hostile to the concept of taking any ancillary demographic trait that's beyond someone's control as prima facie evidence of their unfitness for office. There are people who live to 110 without evident signs of dementia. Feinstein, however, is not one of them.

@DougWar40k @flexghost

An old person has little stake in the future. Rich, old people have maintained a stranglehold on the American government.

If you were instead proposing a wealth limit, I'd be fine - it would have exactly the same effect.

America's leaders have completely and utterly failed their country, while feathering their own nests.

In a just world, most of them would go directly to jail and never see the light of day again - and feel lucky to escape with their lives.

@DougWar40k @flexghost By which I mean to say that there is very little difference between you and I on this matter 😃
@flexghost Is she conscious? We don't know what her condition is and the secrecy regarding whether she is able to read or speak or if she's essentially doing home hospice is antithetical to democracy. I get every individual deserves privacy as a private person. But Feinstein is a public servant and her constituents have a right to know if she can fulfill her obligations as a public servant.
@flexghost
Feinstein should resign a few years ago. Or as close as she can get to that.
@flexghost they seem to keep some in post to keep the numbers

@flexghost @1finekitty Her constituents voted for an 85-year-old candidate in 2018, for an office with a 6-year term.

I can understand supporting someone of that age for an office with a 2-year term, but not for 6.

Grassley will be 95 when his term ends.

@hydrocabron @flexghost @1finekitty She had a Democrat challenger too. He was 52 years old. He got one million fewer votes than her. People are really bad at making decisions
@flexghost the person who is just as much to blame is Gavin Newsom & I wouldn’t doubt for a moment that he’s telling her behind the scenes NOT to resign. He doesn’t want to have to appoint her successor & choose between Schiff, Porter, Lee & others to give one of them an incumbency advantage in 2024 & alienate a large subsection of the Democratic base.
