It's May already. Time to check your #NewYearsResolution. What privacy-friendly services have you switched to recently?

@Tutanota βœ…
@signalapp βœ…
@bitwarden βœ…
@mullvadnet βœ…

Here's a nice list recommended by our friends at @aboutprivacy to help you #DeGoogle! 😎😎😎

@Tutanota @signalapp @bitwarden @mullvadnet @aboutprivacy isnt startpage owned by an #ad agency?

@edendestroyer yes. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/System1

I also see ads and coupons or whatever on startpage. It’s also very annoying to use with a VPN because it stops working and asks you to verify yourself cause of the IP change.

@Tutanota @aboutprivacy Listing Deepl as privacy-friendly? What supports this?
It's just "non-Google", isn't it?
@Tutanota @aboutprivacy @matrix
Also, I'd recommend Matrix (works on any device, decentralised, fork friendly, ..) as a much better option than Signal (none of this).
@Tutanota @signalapp @bitwarden @mullvadnet @aboutprivacy
Unfortunately switched of Mullvad as the udp based wireguard killed almost 50-70% of my mobile Internet speed.
@Tutanota @signalapp @bitwarden @mullvadnet @aboutprivacy I use all of these except for Startpage. I personally use Brave Search. Would also like to add @protonmail because why would they list their direct competitor ;).
@sarumas @Tutanota βœ… @About Privacy Replace Signal and Threema with XMPP and Matrix.

Oh, and replace Startpage with Searx.
