Given how vast the cash-cows of Azure and AWS are ... it is astonishing to me how bad the user-interfaces for both actually are
Me: Hello Microsoft, please can I give you money, here is my card
Microsoft: no
Me: why
Microsoft: I'm sorry, let me clarify. "Error: no"
Me: Can I have a VM?
Microsoft: No, but you can have a Microsoft.Integrated.SecureStorage.PermissionsGroup.ResourceSettings.VirtualMachineCluster.ConnectionPoint
Me: what the ... ok, whatever, fine, I'll have one of those
Microsoft: no
Me (sobbing): I just want online computer please take my dollars
Microsoft: An error occurred. Please read this eight thousand word blog post about unrelated things like ResourceGroups and NetFlowScalers and AzureActiveDIrectory and how they used to work six years ago before we changed all those things to not work the way the blog post says anyway
@Pwnallthethings M$ documentation is a specific kind of a horrible
@Pwnallthethings not saying other OS’ are perfect, but I’m so glad not to work with that system anymore.
@Pwnallthethings I'm glad you're saying it because every time I try to figure out how to do something in Azure or AWS I feel like I must be the dumbest person in technology.

@elforesto @Pwnallthethings

As someone who went through the process of being a network dork learning how-to-cloud, I'm happy to answer AWS questions for you, or point you in the direction of good learning resources.

@Pwnallthethings I feel this, for sure. So frustrating to hit some documentation that purports to solve the issue you are confronted with, only to find that Microsoft has changed its mind.
@Pwnallthethings And renamed them all, several times, since that was written.
@Pwnallthethings yeah but if they had interfaces that were user friendly it would destroy the market for AWS/Azure training and certifications and then where would all the third-rate corporate training providers make their money?
@Pwnallthethings let me stop you at the word Microsoft
@Pwnallthethings 🥥 Say this tip was helpful to you or we'll unleash #Clippy again. 🥥
@Pwnallthethings Or you could watch a Youtube video where somebody takes the first ten minutes explaining why you'd want to do the thing the video is supposed to show you how to do.
@Pwnallthethings This is Oracle Cloud's way of saying "we've logged you out".
@Pwnallthethings This should be a Guy Ritchie film.
@Pwnallthethings god I wish this wasn’t accurate. It took me the better part of a week to figure out all of the multiple licenses you need to entitle to just… run a windows VM. On Microsoft’s cloud. You know, the essential unit of a thing you’d want to buy from Azure?
