@JoelforWI flip sides of the same evil coin…

as it stands today, it is my opinion that the our “democracy” is on the verge of becoming a concrete duopoly of chimeral aristocracy+ochlocracy.

@KashifShah To compare the policy goals , and propaganda tools of Biden and Tim Scott in my view won't stop the fascists. The scare poster is absolutely true in how the GQP wins elections. Campaigning as "Mr. Nice Guy" is in many elections a recipe for losing. Can that be the eventual goal?, and is, yes. In the meantime whether national or local (if it's appropriate for that election), go negative early and often.

@JoelforWI neither Party has done their actual job about #UNUDHR - why haven’t either Party yet mandated the education of elementary-school age children about it? Why is it not yet mandated that all secondary-school age young adults be educated in the full scale and scope of their human rights and in the context of the history of the Greatest Generation and the War to End All Wars?

As Einstein asked of Freud: Why War?

@JoelforWI no comment?
@KashifShah "why haven’t either Party yet mandated the education of elementary-school age children about it?" Not true in the US. You want me to argue pie in the sky vs political reality while you pretend the Dems are the same as the GQP fascist cult. It's a silly conversation. Appropriate policy discussions are fine. You aren't going to convince the brainwashed. Gen Z appears to be fearful, good. They should be. We should all keep that going.

@JoelforWI > “Not true in the US.”

Can you point to some specific legislation that supports your statement?

> “Gen Z appears to be fearful, good. They should be. We should all keep that going.”

You, as a self-described Democrat, are making my point for me about the equivalency of Democratic and Republican strategies - both use fear to try to control the people, which is in direct conflict with the principles of the #UNUDHR and the basis for that fear is often contrary-to-fact

@KashifShah You're living in fairy land cupcake. Have fun, your nonsense about both parties is just that.
@JoelforWI Perhaps you are living in the past? That you haven’t yet supported your take on these opinions with facts is beginning to speak volumes.
@KashifShah "why haven’t either Party yet mandated the education of elementary-school age children about it?" What fact is this? Every Dem in every state battles for expanded public education, especially where threatened with "choice" funds. All Dems favor Head Start. My primary objection to your screeds are the "both parties are the same" screed. It's not demonization if one is shedding light on actual demons, fascists.

@JoelforWI The question was why have neither Democrats nor Republicans yet mandated the education of secondary-school age children about the UNUDHR, as is expected by internationally agreed-upon standards set 75 years ago.

It is demonizing when you equate the Republican Party with fascists or Q-Anon as a means to instill fear in the populace and steer people towards the Democratic Party. There are plenty of other examples of Democrats using fear-baiting, just like Republicans.

@KashifShah @JoelforWI

I hardly find it "demonizing" when the parallels are undeniable. But you do you.

Americans at the ends of the ideological spectrum are the most active in national politics

Americans who hold less consistently liberal or conservative views tend to be less engaged in national politics.

@KashifShah @sharonecathcart "keep in mind", for what purpose? Not news, many Americans want their shiny objects and don't want to think about the hard stuff, like the very real threat of fascism. I take inspiration from Heather Cox Richardson, Michael Beschloss, Ken Burns, Tom Snyder, and Elizabeth Warren. Got a point besides wringing your hands that you believe I'm too blunt?

@JoelforWI @sharonecathcart > “Got a point besides wringing your hands that you believe I'm too blunt?”

I believe that I’ve made my points sufficiently clear.

You consistently cross the line from being blunt to being disrespectful and undignified while simultaneously consistently failing to support your opinions with lawful facts.

And so the time has come for me to indefinitely isolate you from my feed.

@JoelforWI @sharonecathcart see the following for an example of the agressive-left authoritarianism that you haven’t yet been willing to acknowledge the existence of:

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] > “So stop complaining, since you didn’t do anything to oppose” Phew, you, good sir, are crossing the line into not treating me with dignity How could you possibly speak to what I have and haven’t done, if you were not witness to it? And stop complaining?? Good sir, that is an inalienable right of every human - to complain about their government system in free society Your opinion seems rather authoritarian

@KashifShah @sharonecathcart I thought you ran away. You don't defeat Nazis by pretending they're rational and not lying all the time. You also don't have adult conversations by attributing others' words/actions to other posters. Not that I saw anything overly aggressive on what you referenced.

@JoelforWI @sharonecathcart > “not that I saw anything overly agressive”

Clearly “stop complaining” and “you didn’t do anything to oppose” are aggressive statements.

The first is a “shut up and know your place” argument from authority and the second is an “irrational lie” that could be construed as a “dog whistle” for the militant-left.
