I am using
OpenOffice.
Know why?
Because it just works for what I use it for. Why would I use a similar product when the product I use just works for me.
Yeah, I still use Open Office. With well over a decade of using it, it does what I need it to do, and/or I resigned from trying to get something more from it. My personal needs to write documents has been shrinking more and more with email or other non-standard composition platforms being good enough. But admittedly Iām getting older.
However Iām definitely going to try this out
@libreoffice @ibeardslee In 2000, my parents bought a PC with StarOffice 5.1 preinstalled.
I discovered OpenOffice (1.x) in 2005 when I went to my cousinās home once.
Office7 (a fork) was preinstalled on my first laptop PC (2007-2009).
I switched from Office 2007 to OOo in 2010, and from OOo to LibO the day of its public release (a winning bet, since nobody knew if this fork will last at this time).
LibreOffice is substantially better than OpenOfficeā¦
