@drwho @Polychrome @internetarchive I preferred Sears, they had better electronics and most other things, but K-Mart had better prices for shitty-but-acceptable goods. K-Mart was 2 social classes down from the Mall, just above the hippie flea market.

@internetarchive I saved a few of the discs from my time at Sam Goody before they closed up shop in our mall(circa 2008-2010?) and I'm sure one day the collection will be necessary. I do believe that's the first time I heard Adelle and Sia. Timbaland was also on heavy rotation.
