@joshsusser @chris @danarel it’s not fully launched though. Invite-based beta is a soft-launch, & I agree I’d have liked to seen more robust blocking capabilities I stand by the high profile development of AT being an overall good thing.

More decentralised projects getting bigger visibility in the mainstream is a good thing.

@joshsusser @chris @danarel If BlueSky becomes the “next Twitter” then great - those that wanted that can have it while still benefitting from a more flexible and open approach to the web. Those that don’t want it will continue to be happy elsewhere. Choice is broadly a good thing, and there’s plenty who just *really* wish Mastodon was a bit more like Twitter.
@joshsusser @chris @danarel The decentralised web is growing and this is the most interesting the internet has been for a couple of decades 😁
@wiredfire @[email protected] @chris @danarel "I'm not one of the groups whose lives are regularly put at risk by nazis, so this is all nothing more than entertainment to me~"
@wiredfire if it's an invite based beta wouldn't that mean they invited the Nazi? That gives me even less confidence in it :/
@eric5949 it means *someone* invited the Nazi guy. Not necessarily BlueSky themselves give some users are being granted invitations to give out.

@wiredfire @joshsusser @chris @danarel

I'm hoping both projects learn off of each other - and that robust bridges are built to sync both into one federated network.
