I just want to be a citizen of a normal European country.

I don't want:

- the monarchy.
- the house of lords.
- the FPTP electoral system.
- the archaic practices of the house of commons.
- the criminally corrupt tory party.
- the timid and complacent labour party.

I especially don't want #brexit, which was inflicted on Scotland against its will.

#ScottishIndependence #IndyRef2

@djm_black @cstross Sadly, we have most of those same problems on the west side of the Atlantic, just under other names.
@djm_black Same, except I'm stuck in England.

@coldclimate I lived happily in England for over 50 years until brexit.

Come on up: you will be most welcome and will gain hope for a better future...

@djm_black I'm within spitting distance, it's very tempting

@coldclimate I moved up six years ago - and I am very glad that I did.

The hope of a better future is really worth having.

I hope it all works out for you, whatever you decide.

@djm_black I’m English and agree all points. You are likely to get swamped with English immigrants if you get Independence.

@Simplescribbler They will all be very welcome...

[I spent over 50 years (happily) in England before brexit]

@Simplescribbler @djm_black Why wait? Come on up now, beat the rush.
@djm_black I guess then fighting for #Scotland's #independence is a necessity then...
@djm_black A modern written constitution would be nice as well!
@djm_black as an outsider I noticed very quickly after and even during the Brexit debates how the tone in England visavi Scotland changed to "how dare the colony up north have opinions ".
