Hello, yes, this is GreglyAnyways, I found this today at Thrift and Dollar for $5: a Handspring Visor Edge, complete in box, from Australia!
I live in the Chicago area, so it took quite a trip to get here! #Retrocomputing #thrifting
Luckily its AC adapter is multivoltage, so all it took was for me to dig out my old converter that I bought for the single work trip I took out of the United States 15 years ago, and voilá, she works! No idea if it’ll hold a charge though.
The dock is a hybrid thing with an AC adapter and a USB 1.0 plug — USB 1 couldn’t provide the required current (safely).
It had no trouble believing the current date/time — Y2K-compliant! 😆
(I have no intention of keeping this thing on the charging dock for long. It’s almost a certainty that its lithium-ion battery no longer holds a charge, and it could be dangerous to attempt to charge it.)
