#Religion is not a competition.
Believers belong to one family.

My wife is #Christian & dear friends are from different #faith traditions.

#Jesus is of great significance in #Islam. In the #Quran, Jesus is described as the #Messiah, born of a virgin, performing miracles.

There are many #stories about the #life and #teaching of Jesus Christ in the Quran (in total, he is mentioned 34 times).

#Peace

@EgyptianAphorist @[email protected] @bookstodon Of course jesus is significant to Islam, it's an abrahamic faith. I think Christians issue is that it claims to be its aspirational successor on the basis of some followers' testimonies.

I for one think all the faiths have value as human technology, and both Islam and Christianity have far more to offer than their elder sister who excludes those unsnipped by the inducted mother.

But this is Scientia's time now.

It is rather strange to say to a Muslim, as if it’s some kind of rebuke, that “there is only one God.” Isn’t that the core tenet of Islam?

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam may understand God differently and disagree about various theological particulars. But the three religions also all understand themselves to be devoted to the same God. “One family” indeed.
