Nature is everything 🌱

Kindergarten children dropped seeds in the crack of the sidewalk to see what would happen

In a world inundated with technology and digital distractions, it's easy to lose sight of the simplicity and charm of nature.A recent guerrilla gardening experiment by kindergarten children r

@streetartutopia that's awesome and also a good idea 👍

@streetartutopia

Like so much seeing acknowledged this kind of street art as street art ☺️

@baddadda 100%! Also known as Guerrilla Gardening
@streetartutopia while i think this is nifty, i hope they spoke to their local natural plant society.

@streetartutopia

… sometimes the wonder of the very young, taught, stimulated, guided or spontaneously creates wonder. It is a quality to look out for if we can get our noses out of our idiot savant enslavers or mobile phonces/ponces as they are known

As my inner kinder or deutche child becomes emergent, I am quite happy to be augmented with a second artificial brain. Not a time thief, consumer addiction device aka augmented unreality device (coming soon to an outlet near you)

@streetartutopia infrastructure can be brutal or beautiful. Up to us. ❤️
@streetartutopia how can this possibly work? I plant seeds, in the ground, and nada. I struggle with even grass seeds.

One of the topics I had in mind as a PhD topic was "creative deconstruction of industrial landscapes".
The experiments would have been to investigate which seeds at which depht and spacing are most efficient in converting e.g. a parking lot into a green space.
Which lichens and mosses degrade steel concrete the quickest (with a minimum of initial help with handhold tools)?
I mean, we have already so large landscapes full of abandoned or useless (in a wider sense) sealed landscapes that nobody feels responsible of deconstructing that there's a lot to do.

How to make a seed bomb | The Wildlife Trusts

Plant wildflower with seed bombs!

@streetartutopia
Let’s walk hand in hand where the wildflowers are
Let’s draw flowers on an old Volkswagen car
Let’s plant seeds next to every road
Let’s decorate the pavement with a flowery quote
@streetartutopia I love their teacher ❤️❤️❤️

@streetartutopia
Really beautiful. But what also happened was that the old friendly lady with weak eyes fell down and broke her leg.

But that disturbed the beauty for only half an hour.

And hey, she's old.
For normal people it's safe.

@streetartutopia Adult people will find a machine to „clean the streets.“ 😌
@FrostPoem @streetartutopia #alt4you A curb along a street with daffodils growing out of the crack between the curb and the sidewalk pavers. The scene has the curb going from the foreground into the distance, with flowers now lining the length of the street.
@streetartutopia Makes me think of something @quinsibell once said, when describing how she imagines a better world: "Every carpark a garden."
elsewhere machines be called to shredder greens off the sidewalk but hmm tabacco still gathers in gaps - trash those, not #flowers #FlowersOfMastodon nor to kill nature by wasting what insects could make pollen with, 'n waiting for honey in a jar at supermarkets?
