I wasn't paying much attention to the coverage because alot of it was fluff!
However, my ears pricked up when I heard him mention the Times cartoon of #Biden particularly. So I ⏪ it, to actually listen to what he said.
It has went down badly especially in the White House.
@jacqui76 The cartoon (below) is appalling and plays on offensive Irish stereotypes. Do they do not know that Biden is teetotaller? What on earth were they thinking?

It has the same air of the Punch cartoons of the early 20th century, which were highly offensive towards #Ireland and #Irish people.
Honestly, I think they are bitter that Britain has lost their standing in the world after #Brexit. So they get annoyed at those who point it out
Also, they are spitting bricks that #Ireland has replaced them on the world stage. A former colony no less.

@jacqui76 @bullivant It’s the loony right wing - US has a few in senior jobs. The people don’t care that much. Biden accepted the King’s invitation to a state visit so he’ll be here. Obamas were liked especially Michelle reinforcing women’s rights and careers in schools
I agree the coverage on #BBC & #Sky was positive. They were very keen to show the trip.
It was the usual suspects that got up to be annoyed by #Biden visiting #ireland
Foster put the limelight on Donaldson and not in a good way. He was asked about it at very opportunity. Not what he would have wanted.
Also Foster has just reinforced why most people look at the #DUP and see them as bitter & backward looking.
@jacqui76 @bullivant The North has a record, sadly followed by England, of having more than their fair share of politicians who are taking their salary for themselves and not the country. Good to see cross religion party doing well.
Too many politicians have become comfortable in their position. It is time that they were given a wake-up call by the people who put them there.
What I want to see in #NI is the day we vote for whatever political party you want based on policy not the flag they fly or what religion they claim to be (looking at you #dup
That will be real progress.
