It is time for the #BBC and #NPR to set up shop on #Mastodon. Same applies to all other serious news institutions.

They should set up their own servers. They have the means to do so and it just makes sense.

@Odiseo79 @jon Oh huh, didn't know that. Either way, I get my news between that, CNN and I think nbc news. Haven't found a good one for local news like twitter had but, oh well. Oh, AP as well.

@Faylen @Odiseo79 , there are a number of news bots out there, but that is not the same as having a separate server where all journalists are verified. I think that is a natural next step.

@jon @Faylen That would be the ideal, but for now, I think we'll be glad if they just open a verified account.
