I scratched my eye or itβs infected on the Thursday before a long weekend in Canada π«. All vets are closed π© so we are in an emerg clinic but keep getting bumped as we are (thankfully) not super serious. β€οΈ Hopefully we are able to be seen soon. π

My poor little eye. But Iβve got drops now and the vet says Iβll be as good as new in 5-7 days β€οΈ!

No painkillers, emerg maybe didnβt have any for rabbits π. They were not an exotic ER - no one around- we felt ok seeing them in this case because eye pokes/infections are similar to all.
Mum said infection or eye poke so vet wanted to do a tear duct flush. βIβve never done one before, Iβve heard rabbits get that, Iβll have to Google how to do it..β Mum steered her away from that nonsense. π The staining cornea check confirmed the culprit! π

Not to minimize your experience, just a funny one of ours. Bun needed painkillers; vet explained Metacam came in two flavours; dogs and cats liked one, other animals liked the other. So she said she would give us the meat-flavoured one.

Oddly enough theyβve offered a bounty for them in a desperate attempt to get a grip of the situation. When my grandpa grew up, they offered a bounty on gopher tails. The gophers still triumphed.

I haven't personally seen any - don't spend a lot of time out of the city these days - but it is reported that they can be aggressive, and they're pests, causing damage. Breaking fences and stuff like that that can cost a farmer real money if cattle escape and are hit by vehicles, etc.
@cazabon Yeah, Iβve heard they can be quite aggressive, too. They call them βsuper pigsβ here, although they donβt wear capes
