@txt_file @meena That only works if your ISP offers static IP, does not do CGNAT and is at least DOCSIS 3…

Hosting anything modern on something like ADSL2+ is an exercise in futility, though it would work fine for an IRC bouncer service, of course

@meena One of the reasons I chose yearly billing plan for my server is that I get ‘insurance’ that it will work for 12 months and then I just throw more money at it when I can afford it ahaha (500 euro a year roughly)

@meena I'm using an oracle cloud free tier space to run a znc, and that's it (don't ask me why oracle cloud)
