Please, consider taking about the Fediverse instead of Mastodon. Mastodon is a software to access the Fediverse. Please don't reduce the Fediverse to Mastodon. The Fediverse was build by several others developers, long before Mastodon arrived.
Reducing the Fediverse to Mastodon is like calling the whole email network Gmail. Would you like it if people used Gmail to refer to Tutanota? I certainly wouldn't! And I know that you wouldn't either!
So, please, don't help the growth of this mistake!

Adrian Morales@joao @Tutanota The problem is that most people don't understand what this all means, myself included. Please keep in mind that we're all coming from Facebook and Twitter. Everything was tightly controlled over there.
The Fediverse, however, is just one big ocean. People just want to board the first ship they see. Right now, that ship is Mastodon.

The point is that insisting on the mistake won't make it correct. So, calmly, everyone can learn the difference.
Tutanota knows the difference. They should find a way (which is easy) to convey their message correctly.
