ABA IS ABUSE. It caused my CPTSD, as it has for MILLIONS of other #ActuallyAutistic humans around the world.

Basically any rearing strategy that focuses on controlling external behavior instead of nurturing the child's own self-actualization is denying a critical need. Indigenous ppl give their kids far more leeway than westerners, and our ancestors were so horrified at the idea of uncontrolled children that they started kidnapping them en mass to "properly" abuse them into subservient 'citizens'

She blinked not expecting the questions on was like "idk, ABA is only for kids." Then she went on to tell me to look up Autism Speaks. I was so furious: After all that time and money, her only rec was a hate group? No thanks.
