Made a spreadsheet to keep track of all my music. 550+ recordings in the past 3 years!

7% actually got released.

I share this because I want to promote a different way of making electronic music:

(1) Build a performance system/instrument.
(2) Practice with it and record everything.
(3) Listen critically and improve system.
(4) Goto 2.
(5) Release the best.

It's a very fun and productive way to work!

@williamfields very interesting approach. I've been moving more in this direction myself with a hardware setup designed for jamming and recording all the stems for later review/dissection.

@williamfields shout out to spreadsheets - the unsung hero of music production 😂

(I use them extensively for tracking various stages of writing an album and much more)
