At first I was intrigued by the quite random placement of the black bricks. Then the more I looked at it, the more fascinated I became by how the vertical lines appear to be absolutely straight, despite being on a curved surface.

Straight AND Curved

At first I was most intrigued by the quite random placement of the black bricks or tiles in this scene – and then the more I looked at it, the more fascinated I became over the fact that all …

A small section of a large installation piece at Hamburger Bahnhof, the modern art museum in Berlin. If I remember correctly, the left half is a wall painted dark with texture, and on the right hand side is a huge embankment of earth.

What a display this flower put on - and I guess being a day-lily, you'd want to make a big show of things if your flower is only going to hang around for a single day. Hopefully the bees were suitably impressed and got busy pollinating.

Whilst we have the strong primary silhouettes, I like the contrast of the tree, and how the human constructions inadvertently mirror aspects of the tree. The cherry on top is the dying sunset lighting up a plane high in the sky above.

Silhouettes and High Lights

I found this a fascinating collection of shapes and textures, lines and light and dark. Whilst we have the strong and heavy, bold and dark primary silhouettes, I find myself drawn to the contrast o…

Bearded vultures at Tierpark Berlin. It would be preferable to see them in the wild, but I'm happy to report that since 1988, 18 bearded vultures hatched there have been released back into the wild in the Alps, Andalusia and beyond.

Bearded Vulture

On Christmas day last year it was a rare beautiful sunny day and we knew we had to get out for a walk. To our surprise, Tierpark was open for the day, so we decided to go for a walk there. Despite …

Rahul Sharma & Daniel played a great live AV set at BYOB Berlin last year. Here everything appears to have fallen apart on the screen, collapsing into a chaotic spread of pixels.

Perhaps a weird way to look at this image, but I can't but help be drawn to the three diagonal lines that criss-cross this image, dissecting it into different parts.

I guess this is about as minimalist a photo as I've ever taken. Somewhere in Hamburger Bahnhof, the main modern art museum in Berlin, I was feeling inspired to look at things abstractly and saw this combination of light and dark.

An ultra-macro shot taken in a series of experiments for the cover of an album by Ebauche. If you catch it out of the corner of your eye you might well think it's a landscape shot, perhaps with an unexpected snowfall.

I wonder do people not feel embarrassed when their cookie notice says something like "please decide if you want to accept cookies from the 439 vendors we use for tracking you".

How on earth you let it get to that point is beyond me.
