- Hundreds of thousands of workers across a range of sectors are on strike in disputes over pay
- It is thought to be the biggest day of industrial action since the current wave of unrest began last year
- Teachers in England, university lecturers, civil servants and London Underground drivers are all downing tools
- Junior doctors are into the final day of a 72-hour strike affecting hospitals across England
Left out from above: #BBC staff working for local and regional TV, radio and online services in England will walk out, too, over planned cuts to services
Reports from #UCU and #NEU colleagues heading into London: train stations and motorways full. 500,000 expected to join the #BigMarch in #London today. Very sad not to be going too (alone with children today, one with a sprained ankle, and general complete exhaustion) but will be supporting on here
