Julie grows@susanna gorgeous….have a few seedlings growing on a warm windowsill as the season just begins over here in Scotland.
@julie3dharris Hi there, I bought seedlings in October 2021, and in Melbourne’s climate was able to leave them for a second harvest. Love the smoky flavour which really gives a lovely zing to Mexican inspired cuisine.

@susanna yes, great isn’t it…..my chillies get sown in early Jan, spend a couple of weeks in heated propagator, then a warm windowsill, slowly graduating to cool windowsills about now…but winter is back here…snow showers….so house can be a bit cool! In late spring I will move to greenhouse…that’s where they live all summer. I hardly ever manage to overwinter plants, most of them don’t make it in the unheated ugreenhouse.
