#ESPHome is really nice for adding stuff to #homeassistant and automating things. I just updated my plantmonitor repo to include my ESPHome configuration for my #ESP8266 talking plant monitor. Automation is still done inside the #microcontroller, so it is independant of Wifi accessibility.
