Speaker 2 says that Lansing's municipal power utility fixed their infrastructure & released a report after an ice storm outage a few years ago. It wasn't all about the trees. Board of Water & Light fixed the problem & hasn't had a major outage since. #A2Council
Speaker 3 approves of the plan to ask the state to hold DTE accountable, but doesn't want DTE at the energy commission meetings, concerned they'll do greenwashing propaganda.

Caller 7 lives at Earhart Village, and doesn't want a sidewalk there! Would rather have trees than pedestrians. I'm not sure exactly where to find this sidewalk plan. I don't think it's on the agenda? #A2Council
Caller 8 was NOT CONSULTED about the sidewalk plan at Earhart Village. The homeowners association has lawyered up to try to stop the sidewalk. These people are truly standing up for The American Way 🇺🇸 🦅 😢 . #A2Council
Caller 9 is another Earhart Village resident. Suggests reducing car lanes to add sidewalks and bike lanes. I'm okay with reducing car lanes! But it's not exactly a Second Amendment right to not have sidewalks in the easement. #A2Council
Speaker 10 doesn't like the changes to golf fees, where seniors don't get to golf for free on the weekend. #A2Council
Speaker 11 also doesn't want the sidewalk. She's got a petition. Who cares? OHH WAIT A SECOND! The petition was "PROPERLY CIRCULATED"!!! Now we have to consider it!
Uhmmm, I'm still in favor of the sidewalk. #A2Council
Speaker 11 says they wrote to everyone, all the way up to the President of the USA, complaining about the sidewalk! But no one wrote back 😢 .
Speaker 11: "No taxation without representation!"

John Mirsky of the #A2Council environmental commission speaks.
He is concerned that the apartment buildings at The Village of Ann Arbor will not be electrified, and will use natural gas. #A2Council
(personally, I suspect that making more housing in the city so people don't have to commute will save more CO2 than building a smaller amount of housing that's electric) #A2Council
DT FkU needs to bury wires, switch to renewables.
