Starting initial config for my new #kubernetes #homelab! Getting everything running on my own Mac Mini (2012) and a couple of HP EliteDesk 800 G3s. Will probably run Debian due to ease of use, but with Puppet and Terraform most likely.

Planning on moving my storage to a new #unraid machine with its network storage being used for app state in the cluster. I wonder if running a #k8s node in a VM on the Unraid box would be a good option for passing through the discrete GPU or if I should just not bother and host just #Plex on Unraid and everything else on the cluster šŸ¤”.

@perry_mitchell u for sure want Plex using the GPU for encoding. I have all my videos stored on Unraid and it works beautifully. Use m2 or ssd for the OS on Plex box

@geoffrothman I was actually thinking of switching from my Quadro RTX 4000 to just the iGPUs on the nodes for encoding. I just wonder if Iā€™m introducing a bottleneck here.. I have up to 5 simultaneous users at times.
