With all Dave McKay’s talk about #ClimateChange and RBC’s commitments to #NetZero, this graph from Bloomberg shows his greatest commitment may sadly be to #greenwashing. #rethinkRBC

These ‘Net-Zero’ Banks Are Still Pretty Big on Big Oil

@MarkRuffalo Hey Mark, very interesting, thanks. I remember i read about greenwashing by spanish tech journalist, Marta Peirano in her most recent book "Contra el futuro" which translates something along "Against the future". It is very interesting her concept of "climate feudalism", check it out if you haven't already, cheers! great to having you on Mastodon btw
@MarkRuffalo Methinks the measure should not be that ratio, even: the amount of “green energy” investment is irrelevant. All that matters and all that counts is not doing fossil fuels.
@js @MarkRuffalo it is not like they cancel out each other, lol!
@MarkRuffalo Didn't they also took Epstien money but refuses Kanya West. They sure do finance. Corruption at the highest level.

@MarkRuffalo

Is this what is called hedging?

Or maybe its called hypocrisy?

Is this the same hypocrisy as many celebrities who fly private so they can jet to their clean energy summit photo ops?

@MarkRuffalo Dave is an ecocidal maniac, addicted to greed.

@MarkRuffalo You've probably seen this, but this report from As You Sow on corporate #netzero claims reveals the near-universal failure to act with clarity and honesty. #greenwashing
