Toddler cooking life tip: I love to substitute gochugaru, Korean chili flakes, for any recipe that calls for chili powder or chili flakes.
It’s much less spicy than regular chili flakes, but still has great chili flavor and just a bit of warmth for sensitive palates.
Then if you’re like me, you can add something hot on top. Tonight I tried this TJ’s hot pepper sauce and it is tasty but HOT
(although my tolerance is pretty weak right now due to aforementioned toddler)
@pretz +1, this is a staple of my cooking, especially when I’m cooking for people who are Not Down With The Spice. It’s a great flavor, not very hot at all.
