Fun fact: when the Dilbert TV show got canceled in the 2000 (after consistently having some of the worst ratings on TV), UPN announced the cancellation with an announcement titled "UPN Fills New Schedule With Testosterone"
Years later, Scott Adams said that the show got canceled because he's white. The truth is that it was consistently one of the lowest rated shows on broadcast TV.
Lol
Weirdly enough, one of the show's final plot lines involved Dilbert getting pregnant with an alien baby or something.
@parkermolloy I think the funny part about Dilbert is that all of Scott Adams’ actions over the past half-decade have proven that his personification in the comic is actually Dogbert.
@ernie @parkermolloy this mirrors an old theory I have, that every HP fan who says they are a Slytherin is a Hufflepuff
@plsburydoughboy @parkermolloy Check out this clip of Dogbert from the cartoon—it literally lays out Scott Adams’ entire recent career. https://twitter.com/micro_cabbage/status/1629766448682872832

“@ZachWeiner Everyone thought Scott saw himself as Dilbert when in fact he sees himself as Dogbert”

@ernie @plsburydoughboy @parkermolloy yeah we don't need to do that. LOL
@ernie @plsburydoughboy @parkermolloy It certainly shows us a good reason to drop the comic from whatever newspapers we might own. That was less funny than the "elves get overrun by nazi propaganda" scene from Bakshi's "Wizards."
@parkermolloy its low ratings really cover up for the fact how truly bad of a show it was.

@parkermolloy I loved the comic at the time and even read a couple of Scott’s books, but I couldn’t even force myself to watch the TV show.

I was probably too young to realize how dumb the books were. I probably thought I was smart for them at the time.

@vmstan @parkermolloy Same here, thought the comic was funny - show was unwatchable.

@parkermolloy The animated series is quite funny. I feel bad to admit it.
@parkermolloy at least the cancellation gave him time to reinvent philosophy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/God's_Debris

@parkermolloy why are we promoting the creation of a white supremacist? That's like pushing JKR on the trans community! 😾
@pleignjayne What in the everloving f are you talking about? How tf are you reading that thread and thinking that I'm "promoting" anything? Jesus Christ.
@pleignjayne Seriously, read the whole thread again and explain to me how I am "promoting" Scott Adams. JFC.
@parkermolloy I see that they never put an ounce of thought into how Dilbert's hair would look when his head is in motion.
@parkermolloy mpreg dilbert aside, I really do not like seeing or thinking about his lumpy hair-skin in three dimensional space
@parkermolloy It didn't even to better than "Shasta"

Here, a telling/prescient juxtaposition of two #newspaper blurbs on Jan. 25, 1999 - one offering a preview of the "new" UPN show based on #ScottAdams #Dilbert strip, and the second highlighting a documentary on #WhiteSupremacy and the horrific murder of James Byrd, Jr.

"The white supremacy movement... doesn't simply target the lone African-American walking home late at night. They are anti-Semitic, anti-abortion, anti-affirmative action, anti-race mixing and anti-gay." #racism
