I love seeing new #pixelfed apps like @vernissage and working with them on compatibility and feature support

I don’t see them as competition to my #pixelfedApp, quite the opposite, they represent a healthy open ecosystem.

It’s my job as the @pixelfed maintainer to support them to the best of my ability and encourage alternatives that benefit our community.

This is what makes the #fediverse so special ❤️

@vernissage @pixelfed @dansup I’m not sure if I understand how it works. Apparently I have a Pixelfed presence it says I have 12 posts yet the account has not posted yet. I have 9 posts with media on mastodon yet I cannot login because my mastodon instance is not compatible

@vernissage @dansup @pixelfed is there a guide or something that explains this behaviour? How do I login to #pixelfed with my #mastodon account in this case and why is it showing a post count when I’ve not posted?

@Viralpoet for me it’s hard to say why you have 13 posts, but for sure it’s not good idea to sign in to Pixelfed client with mastodon account. The APIs are very similar but not identical 😉.
