Exactly the problem. We don’t need infrastructure just for avid cyclists, we need it for those new and apprehensive riders who are terrified of these hostile spaces we call streets.

@jlocantore Fucking exactly. I wish more people could think back to when they were a brand new driver learning how to operate a car and move it around the car-privileged spaces we’ve (stupidly) built. Consider that multiplied by Mad Max even on the calmest, slowest streets (which are also technically just as much for non-motorists), and it’s really no wonder so many are terrified to share that space.
