Congrats to @DenverDOTI for moving this project from conception to implementation incredibly fast, transforming Blake and Market St into truly complete streets that prioritize people over cars and improve safety for everyone. Let's do more of this! 👏👏

It'll take two to three more weeks to complete the first lane on Blake Street.

Beautiful green spaces and density can go really well together. All those people living in that highrise pay taxes that help support our park system, and they benefit by living right across the street from the park. Now we just need to make it safe to cross the street . . .

We still can't believe we had the chance to meet Claudia López Hernández, the Mayor of Bogotá, Colombia, last week who was in town for the first-ever Biennial of the Americas!

So listen to Mayor López and get out there and move with us May 14th for the first ¡Viva! Streets!

No Right Turn on Red Is Now the Default in Seattle - The Urbanist

Not allowing drivers to make a free right turn at a red light, or a left turn from a one-way street, will be the default setting for any new or modified traffic signal, according to a memo signed by leadership within the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) in early March. #BikeBus is pure joy. The kids are so great and did a wonderful job. Lots of parents dropping off kids to ride with us. We are going to start a song request on our website for the next ride. http://BrownBikeBus.com.

I'd like to know how many intersections are located along Colfax Avenue within the City of Denver, the entire 9-mile length from Sheridan to Yosemite. Do I have any GIS savvy friends who can quickly figure that out for me?

Thanks to our successful 20 Is Plenty campaign, the City of Denver has begun changing their 25mph signs to 20 mph ones! Lower speeds mean fewer crashes and fewer serious injuries and fatalities. We're glad to see this finally getting implemented.

20 will have to be plenty: Thousands of new speed limit signs are going up across the city

The new 20 mph signs are part of the effort to remind drivers that the speed limit has dropped on neighborhood streets.

This type of sunset is so common in Denver, it needs a name. Like mountain-sun-rain, or mosurain.
